The Validation Definition - User Defined Items Screen is used to create custom error checks that are not included in the standard validation list. This is also known as the Custom Errors Screen.
- Custom Errors/Warnings/Messages: area to add, delete, edit, and view the details of the custom errors included in this validation set. Double clicking on an item on the list allows you to edit that custom error's details via the Validation User Defined Item screen.
Use the "+" and "-" buttons to add or delete entries, respectively.
- Hourly Rate of Pay: this section provides a way to check for unreasonable hourly rates of pay. You specify an Earnings and Hours field on the data and then the system produces an hourly rate using the ratio of Earnings to Hours. When this ratio is greater than the Maximum Ratio or less than the Minimum Ratio, a validation error is produced.
- Earnings: select the applicable earnings field from the list of Reported Amounts.
- Hours: select the applicable hours field from the list of Reported Amounts.
- Minimum Ratio: enter the minimum ratio threshold.
- Maximum Ratio: enter the maximum ratio threshold.
