The New Person Screen is used to manually create a new person (most people are created in DB Precision using an import).
- SSN: space to indicate the SSN for this person. If SSN is unknown, create a fake SSN by combining 3 zeros with the client number and then some counter. For example, if the client number is 1234, then the SSN for the first person with an unknown SSN for this sponsor would be 000123401.
- Plan Sponsor EIN: space to specify the EIN of the sponsor for which this person is being added. This is pre-filled if the person is created with a sponsor open.
- Name Information: area to provide first, middle, and last names.
- Date of Birth: space to type or choose a date of birth for this new person.
- Date of Employment: space to type a choose a date of employment. If none (beneficiary or retiree with an unknown hire date), then check the None box.
- Gender: dropdown to indicate the gender of the newly created person.
- Benefit Effective Date: if the participant is receiving or entitled to receive a benefit, this space allows you to specify the date that this benefit is first paid.
- Benefit Annual Amount: space to specify the annual benefit amount (if any) that the participant is entitled to.
- Deferred Annuity: check this box if the annuity has not yet been paid.
