Portal Firewall

PensionSoft's Internet portal includes a Smart Firewall which monitors for malicious user activity and blocks the device fingerprints and/or IP addresses of users deemed to be malicious. A blocked user will be unable to login, recover user ID, register, or reset a password.

In the event that a user is incorrectly blocked, you can use this screen to remove the blocking as well as to add a user's IP address to a list of allowable sites to prevent future firewall blocking.

Adding IP addresses to the list of allowable sites can only be performed by Administrator Users.

Screen Items
  • Allowed Sites: This area lists allowed IP addresses for your group that will not be blocked within the portal. To add a new IP address to the list of allowed sites, enter the IP address and then press the Add button.
  • Blocked Devices/Sites: This area allows users to unblock a particular device or IP. If a user has been blocked, have them go to https://www.mypensionbenefit.com/home/firewall and have them then provide you with both their Fingerprint and IP Address displayed on this screen. Enter these in the input boxes on this screen and press the 'Clear' button.

    If the blocked user is either a Sponsor Contact or Administrator, you should add their IP address to the list of Allowed Sites as described above.
