To test the selected forms configuration options, we recommend that you create a Sample Participant for the Sponsor and corresponding sample Worktrack task.
To test your forms configuration, do the following:
- Sample Participant: If you do not already have a sample participant created for the Sponsor, create one. To do this, create a new Person in DB Precision (File - New - Person within the Sponsor) entering fake data and then, once created, check the box Sample Participant on the new Person's basic information screen and save. You will also need to add enough data including Reported Amounts in order to calculate a benefit payable under the plan for the Person.
- Create Worktrack Task for Sample Participant: create a new Worktrack task for the sample participant by selecting Tools - Manage Workflow with the Person opened in DB Precision and clicking the Add button on the Worktrack tab. You will also want to then specify a calculation date and payment start date on the Parameters tab of the new task. Note that creation of the new task can also be done from within the portal but this may generate unwanted email correspondence.
- Complete Prior Steps for Task: On the Steps tab of the newly-created task, select both complete and authorize options in the Possible Actions dropdown and pressing the Apply button until all prior steps (steps prior to the step where forms are to be completed) are completed. Simlar to the above, update of the new task can also be done from within the portal but this may generate unwanted email correspondence.
- Add Benefit Options to Task: calculate the Benefit Payment Set that includes the optional benefits for the election forms (Home - Calculate) for the Person and then add the options to the task (Add benefit options to Worktrack task checkbox).
- Add Calculation Results Archive to Task: run an export in DB Precision for an Export Definition that includes output that details the benefit calculation (Home - Export with the Person opened) and check the box Save results to archive while also selecting the Worktrack task using the Worktrack dropdown box.
After completing the above, log in to the portal either using a Participant, Sponsor Contact, or Administrator to access the participant:
- Authorize Forms Button: You should now see a Authorize Forms button after opening the sample participant.
- Available Forms: Upon pressing the Authorize Forms button, you will see a list of forms that can be updated for the opened participant. Click on the row for the forms and that will allow you to test and configure settings for forms completion.
- Print Button: A print button on the top-right of the screen will appear after you begin completing the forms, this will allow you to also view what the completed output will look.
