Formula Derived Item Advanced Settings
Basic Portal Settings
Display: use this dropdown to indicate whether the amount should be displayed on the portal and if so, when it should be calculated. Set the Display Index to change the order of displayed Forumula Derived Items.
Handling Zero Values: this box allows you to specify what should be displayed if the calculated amount for a Person equals zero.
Group Name: use this to indicate what group (if any) the item should be displayed in on the portal.
Portal Caption: this space allows you to provide a brief caption or description for the amount. It should be worded such that it easily fits on a single line.
Portal Amount Display
Category: use this to indicate how the calculated numeric amount should be formatted on the portal.
Decimal Places: use this to define the amount of decimals the output should be rounded to for portal display.
Use 1000 separator (,): check this box to include a comma to show groupings of three digits to signify hundreds, thousands, etc.
Symbol: select to include or exclude the leading $ symbol for currency values.
Negative Numbers: select to use accounting notation or standard notation when displaying negative numbers.
Convert to text using: check this box when the formula derived item is related to a Text Conversion Definition and should be displayed on the portal as the converted title.
Calculation Optimization
Do not process additional calculations when there are multiple calculation dates for this item: check this option if you are using a constant value that does not change in a calculation that spans over multiple Calculation Dates for faster performance.

Do not process if: use this field to define an additional condition for which calculations will not be processed, based on a Formula Derived Item.
