The Benefit Payment Set 415(b) Compensation Screen allows System Users to specify how compensation should be allocated for determining the 415(b) average compensation component of the 415(b) benefit limit.

• Reported Amount Name: select from the drop-down list the name of the Reported Amount to include in the average.
• Allocation Type: select from the following choices how to include each Reported Amount in the average compensation:
  
  
  • Prorate: allocate such that when the Reported Amounts cross into different averaging periods, they are allocated to each period based upon days.
  • Start Date: select this option to allocate different Reported Amounts based upon each amount's start date.
  • End Date: select this option to allocate different Reported Amounts based upon each amount's end date.
  • Date Received: select this option to allocate different Reported Amounts based upon each amount's Date Received.
