The Standard Rights screen is used to specify the rights for a System User or Group. Note however that if this screen is viewed for a System User that is part of a group, the items will be disabled/grayed out.
Page Items
  • Access Rights: this area allows for access rights to be specified for particular items. For each item, No Access, View Access, or Edit Access may be selected.
  • Status: If a user is inactive, they are no longer able to access the system either via the Internet or by using DB Precision.
  • Internet Controller: this section allows for a System User to be designated as an Internet Controller.

An Internet Controller then can have a Search Query Interval specified which indicates how long a controller should wait between checks on portal activity (lower number increases the frequency of checking).

In addition, specification of Antivirus Software can be defined if different from the software indicated within the System Settings screen.
  • System Administrator: check this box to identify a particular System User as being a System Administrator.
  • Database Administrator: check this box if a User is to have the rights to process system queries against the DB Precision database.
  • System Beta Tester: by checking this box, you are giving the user rights to items that are released within a production release as a beta feature.
  • Server Explorer Access: if this box is checked, the user will be able to view Server Explorer (real-time view of Internet Controller activity).
