The Age/Service/Points Requirement Screen provides the space to enter a specific age, service, and/or points combination (i.e., a Requirement), used in the determination of the date service accrual begins. The applicable date within a single Requirement is the date that all conditions are met.
Multiple Requirements can be set up and combined to create a Requirements Group.
- Basic Parameters: enter the specific eligibility conditions in this section.
- Age Requirement: enter any age requirement in boxes labeled Years and Months.
- Service Requirement: enter any service requirement in the box labeled Years.
- Points Requirement: enter any points (i.e., age plus service) requirement in the box labeled Points.
- Service Name (for Service and/or Points Requirement): select the name of the Service Definition used to determine service for the purpose of the Service and/or Points requirements above.
- Rounding of Resulting Date: use the Type and Unit fields to indicate how to round the date that all the requirements are met. Enter the Month and Day of the anniversary year in the box labeled Calendar Anniversary.
- Advanced Requirements:
- Requirements Group: used to combine and order Requirements when multiple Requirements exist. Select the group to which the current Requirement belongs - First, Second, or Third.
Within a single Requirements Group, a Person becomes eligible for service accrual on the date that all conditions are met. If more than one Requirements Group is included, service accrual begins on the earliest date of all the groups, i.e., when a Person first satisfies one set of requirements.
- Employment Anniversary Rule: select one of the following to provide additional detail regarding when this Requirement must be satisfied with respect to a Person's employment anniversary.
- None: if not applicable.
- Requirements must be met by first anniversary: if the Requirement must be satisfied within the first anniversary of a Person's employment.
- Requirements must be met after first anniversary: if the Requirement must be satisfied after the first anniversary of a Person's employment.
- Date may not precede first anniversary: if the resulting accrual start date can not be before the first anniversary of a Person's employment.
